Every branch you explored is a line, not a lost tab
The variation tree is the study. Every "what if he takes here?" and "and if I castle first?" you tried on the board is saved as its own line, with the point where it forks from the main line. The reader flips between Main Line and Branch 1, 2, 3 with the moves underneath, and steps through them with the arrow keys. Nothing collapses into a single best line — the study is the analysis exactly as you did it, side variations included.

A link that opens for anyone — with the board in the preview
A published study's link works without an account: the board, the branches, the move list, the author and the view count. Paste it into a chat and it unfurls with a picture of the position instead of a blank card. Under every published study runs a threaded comment thread with replies, on web and mobile — anyone can read, signed-in players can comment, and you can delete your own. Ask "why not Nf3?" once, get the answer under the study, and it stays answered.
Keep going where you stopped — you or your reader
Any study reopens on the analysis board with the engine, so a reader can pick up exactly where you stopped and keep analysing. Browse the community's studies by category on the Community tab, keep your own under My Studies, and switch a draft to published whenever it's ready — editing a published study updates it live. Publishing earns Pawns.
